THE HOLY SPIRIT PART3

Image

We are continuing our series of the teaching of the Holy spirit but this time we are in part 3!!! In this segment, we shall be discussing the symbols of the Holy Spirit!!

SYMBOLS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Acts2:1-8, Acts1:8

By now u know the Holy Spirit, Spirit of God- Epe4:30. Like many other things in the scriptures, the Holy Spirit has been represented by many symbols; which has made many people(even christians n great men of God) to think d Holy Spirit are actually those items that where used as symbols, which make people regard him as “it” and all. As we go on I pray u understand His personality the more.

What is the import? These symbols stand for different demonstrations and manifestations of the power of God. A proper understanding of this symbols enables a believer to be able to take full advantage of the benefit embedded in the person of The Holy Spirit.

Looking at the scriptures, you will find God being called names derived from particular manifestations of his Power. For example”Jehovah Jireh”(God our provider) Gen22:14-18; “Jehovah Shammah” (God our peace) Eze 48:35; ” Jehovah Ropheka”(God our healer) Exo15:26; “Jehovah Nissi” (Banner) Eze17:15, etc

In like manner the Holy Spirit is variously represented by symbols that have direct bearing to what(he) the Holy Spirit does. We shall examine some of these symbols.

1) FIRE

God manifested himself in flame of fire in numerous places in the Scriptures. Exo3:1-5 talks of Moses and the burning bush. 1Kings18, shows us, that God answers with fire on Mount Carmel. Isa6:1-6 also reveals the coal of fire from the throne of God. And on the day of Pentecost, we saw the cloven tongues like of fire(Acts2:2-4), when the disciples where filled with the Holy Spirit.

But why does the Holy Ghost manifest as fire? God desires to purify us and make us acceptable unto himself. If these has to be achieved, all the impurities in our lives must be burnt off with fire so that we can appear as refined gold. No wonder Christ said:”I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in fire, that you may be rich” (Rev3:18a). The Holy Ghost fire burns every root of sin in our lives. Isa4:4.

Another work of the Holy Ghost fire is to give us power. Fire stands for power and it is only through the help of the Holy Ghost that our lives can be empowered to live a victorious life and preach the gospel.

Finally, fire illuminates. When you receive the genuine baptism of the Holy Spirit, you will begin to experience revelations and hitherto hidden dark things about your life, family and environment. All these will be made open to us as the fire of the Holy Spirit illuminates the dark areas of our lives.

2) THE DOVE

The dove over the ages, has come to be associated with peace, purity, meekness and humility. All these are the very things the Holy Spirit stands for in the lives of believers. Matt3:16 says, ” Jesus when he was baptised went straightway out of the water: and lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him”. This talks of the Holy Spirit upon Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit as a dove signifies a sinner being implored to make peace so as to avoid damnation. It talks of the believer retaining the peace of God in this troubled world, so as not to loose sight of God.

Secondly, a dove is a pure bird and abstains from filthy environment. It does not feed on carcasses as the case is with some other birds. In like manner, when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you develop a natural irritation for sin. You do not want to move towards anything that will soil your testimony.

Not only that, you do not feed yourself with spiritual poison such as reading strange books, attending unholy meetings or keeping questionable associations. This is the reason why the scriptures admonishes believers, ” to abstain from all appearances of evil” (1Thessa5:22, 1Peter2:11).

The dove as a symbols of meekness and humility, transforms a believer from the evil and aggressive nature, into a sheep-like creature. It becomes impossible for you to hurt others. The Scripture warns believers, ” Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defied”(Heb12:15). With this, a believer who claims to have been baptized in the Holy Spirit would find it difficult to backbite and destroy others with his tongue, or carry himself arrogantly.

Beloved, I believe I have been able to impart into you another session of teaching that has had so much impact on my life and has made me 2 excel bountifully beyond measures. I pray as you have read and continuing reading the Spirit of God will minister more to you as the bible says in Ezekiel2:2- “And the Spirit entered me as spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me”.

EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST) PT.4

Image

Dearly Beloved, We shall be continuing in our series of EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST)! But this time we are in Part 4!!!!!!!!!

Once again, using our anchor scripture which is Acts1:8-“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. In our last three(3) teachings we have been exploring different ways through which the Holy Ghost helps the believer to make the most of life and secure eternity at the end.

In this segment, we shall be exploring all the corners of the Holy Ghost mission on earth and the rewards of evangelism as well as biblical references for meditation!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Holy Ghost is present and imminent in our lives to help the believer through the journey of life. Living without Him makes one a spiritual orphan. He is our divine helper – John.14:26 says- ” But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you”.

Rom.8:26 says, ” Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for as we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered”.

The word “Comforter” is literary translated ‘Helper’.

Below are some of the sections of the essence of the Holy Ghost:

1) REACHING OUT TO THE LOST

· He convicts sinners to repent – Jn 16:9-11

· He pricks sinners’ hearts to turn to God – Act 2:37

· REWARD: Witnessing Jesus entitles believers to answered prayers –Jn 15:16

2) GATEWAY TO REVELATION

· The Holy Ghost helps the saints to access revelation – Jn 14:26

· Revelation is the unveiling of God’s word which is packaged in mysteries –Mk 4:11, 1Cor 2:12-13

· The Holy Ghost is the author and custodian of the Word – Is.34:16; II Tim.3:16,17

· He is the Revealer – 1 Cor.2:10-12

· He is the Teacher – Jh.16:13; 1 Cor.2:13; Job.36:22

· He is the enlarger of our spiritual understanding – Is.11:3

3) REACHING OUT FOR THE SOULS IN THE KINGDOM

We are chosen to preach the gospel as the bible says in John 15:16- ” Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Vs 17 says ” These things I command you, that ye love one another. The truth is it is easy to say we love God but if we truly love God we will preach the gospel, Jesus told peter in John 21:15-17, ” So when they had dined, Jesus saith unto Simon Peter, Simon, son of jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He said unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.

He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him Feed my sheep.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep!!!! We can see here that it is very evident what Jesus was saying to peter; because he asked peter the question three(3) times and every time peter answered yes, he always said feed my sheep! One(1) way to show our love for God is through evangelism under the Power of the Holy Ghost!!!!

 · The Holy Ghost emboldens us to preach Jesus – Act.1:8; 2:4,7/Act 4:13

· He also empowers us for signs and wonders thereby winning souls for Christ – Act.8:5-7; 9:32-35

· The Holy Ghost gives us the word in season for conquest – Is 50:4/ Mk4:1-14

EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST) PT.3

Image

Dearly Beloved, We shall be continuing in our series of EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST)! But this time we are in Part 3!!

In this segment, we shall be discussing the fears of evangelizing to the people, the blessedness of Evangelism and how the Holy Ghost empowers us for Evangelism.

In Philip1:28- ” And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God”. According to Oxford Dictionary of Current English(THIRD EDITION), Perdition can be defined as ” A state of eternal damnation into which a sinful person who has not repented passes after death”. In the above verse we can see that the devil wants fear to be imbibed in us, so that we won’t be able to carry out our primary assignment on earth! Listen to this; Faith moves God while Fear moves the devil. Also in Job3:24-25- ” For my sighing cometh before I eat, and my roarings are poured out like the waters.

For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me”. So therefore, we can see in the above verses that all the devil do is to create fear in us thereby rendering us powerless. Fear is the bait for death. In part 1 we learnt of how the disciples where not confident of themselves until the Holy Ghost came upon them; especially peter who denied Jesus Christ three(3) times(Matt 26:69-75), but immediately the Holy Ghost came upon them it was still this same peter that denied Jesus then that first stood up to speak to the multitude(Acts2:14); what caused the transformation? The answer is simple; THE HOLY GHOST!!!!!! He brought courage, erased fear and had enormous faith to face anybody. Halleluyah!! I have the Holy Ghost, all fears has been erased!! Glory!!! Faith is your positive response to what God has provided by grace. Evangelism requires enormous faith; because it is our positive response that whoever we would minister to will receive the word and open their heart to the convicting of the Holy Ghost to what God has provided by grace which is salvation; Titus2:11-14 ” For the grace of God that bringeth salvation(total package) hath appeared to all men,

Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;

Who gave himself to us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of goods works”. Also in Ephesians2:8-9; ” For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works, lest any man should boast”.

So we are saved by grace through faith which is the gift of God! Now, one major fear of Christians about Evangelizing is about preaching to conductors, drunkards, touts, drug addicts, and all manner of sort and they think they cannot be converted. But don’t forget that it is the Holy Ghost that convicts and not you, and we have seen those set of people give their life to Christ and some even turn pastors. Do your job and leave the rest for God to handle! I want to point out to us that do not go and preach to the opposite sex except you have an partner of the same sex that you want to minister to(Never try it, it is dangerous, both male and female, it is a ploy of the devil and it would be rather foolish if you try it! Even the bible says, wisdom is profitable to direct).

Part of the features of the Holy Ghost coming are:

1) Reaping the Kingdom harvest- Num 11:31, Acts 2:2

2) Supernatural utterance- Matt10:20, Epe6:19

3) Source of Victory, Triumph and Conquest- Jer51:20-24, Isa59:19.

The Holy Ghost is our most profitable companion and he is our God ordained helper. The Holy Ghost also does the following:

1) He directs us to ready-made souls- Matt10:20, Acts 8:29-31, Acts 16:6-8.

2)He emboldens us in ministering Christ(Acts4:13); he emboldens the anointed and he says it for free and then you become untouchable!(Acts 4:29-30)

BLESSINGS ENTITLED TO GENUINE SOUL WINNING

1) Divine Health- Pro13:7 this is the heritage. Of every faithful ambassador. Jn15:2. God makes you so fit so as to keep you so fruitful. You begin to walk under supernatural strength(Isa40:31), what you cannot do with normal strength, u begin to do with supernatural strength. Every fruitful believer is an ambassador!

2) Divine Wealth- Joshua1:8! Health is wealth, so when you become healthy, you become wealthy! Also, wealth is a blessing for every genuine soul winner when you begin to win souls for the kingdom, you automatically be on God’s pay roll and when you are on God’s pay roll, u cannot be poor!(Job22:21:30)

3) The Holy Ghost empowers the saints for exploits- Isa61:1-7, Lk4:18- he empowers us to have usual accomplishments of our endeavors. He comes to beautify destinies. The anointing raises builders from beggars. He is commander of exploits! Isa45:2.

Listen: these blessings are only entitled to ambassadors of Jesus Christ! People have been committed and had this blessings but as soon as they lost the commitment, they lost the blessings; why?????? Their case is like king saul, he was still the king and on the throne but he lost all his king ship benefits as soon as he disobeyed God, you may still be bearing the name ambassador but you may have lost the benefits that come with it ! So when things are bad, check if you are still a genuine soul winner and if you are still entitled to the benefits, if not re trace your steps and God will bless you!

HOW DOES THE HOLY GHOST EMPOWER US

1) He is the custodian of visions.Joel2:28, Jn16:12-13. Vision also is the platform for exploits. When God leads, he goes before the lead, goes with the lead and works for the lead. Jn10:4, mk16:20, 1thessa 5:4. The Holy Ghost unveils the plan of God, so we can have a walk over. Every of God’s plan is for God. Pro29:18.

2) The Holy Ghost gives us access to supernatural faith. The Holy Ghost is our spiritual rig for digging into the tins of God.(1cor2:9-10). Basically, the deeper the knowledge, the stronger our faith. Dan3:28, Heb11:33. Supernatural faith is as a result of supernatural insight. Dan6:23, 1cor12:10.

3)Providing access for us to Supernatural Insight- Dan11:32, Psa45:3-5, Isa11:1-3.

4) The holy Ghost provides Supernatural wisdom- Isa11:1-2, 1cor1:24, Pro3:19, Psa104:24, Mk6:2, Matt13:54.

Beloved, I believe I have been able to impart into you another session of teaching that has had so much impact on my life and has driven me crazy for God. I pray as you have read and continuing reading the Spirit of God will minister more to you as the bible says that the Spirit entered me as spake unto me.

As I wrap up this teaching, note that there are teachings that come with soul winning. I will be teaching under the Inspiration of the Holy Ghost about the Commitment, fervency, passion and lots more about Soul winning in part 4! EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST) PT.2

Image

We shall be continuing in our series of EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST)! But this time we are in Part 2!!
Once again, using our anchor scripture which is Acts1:8-“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”.
Your life is destined is destined to be filled with proof, evidence and manifestations of God’s Grace, power, goodness and glory so that you will be an effective witness for the kingdom. You are called to be a witness.( 1pet2:9); to show forth God’s Glory and virtue (2pet1:3). Not just with your words but also with actions; with power! The Big Question is Are you ready to be a witness????
With great power the apostles gave witness of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and great grace was upon them(Acts4:33). That same power is upon you today in the name of Jesus!! By the power of the Holy Ghost, your life is guaranteed to be full of proofs, manifestations, evidences of God’s great Glory and power. It is much easier to bear evidence when you have witness. This is why the apostles decided to preach the gospel not with words only but with demonstration and power. The bible in 1cor2:4 explains it all, it says 1cor2:4 which says”And my speech was not the enticing words of man’s wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and power”.
This power was freely given unto us ; Matt10:8 says ” Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give”. We have power to overcome all the powers of the enemy; Luke10:19 says ” Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you”. By Christ in us this power is available to us. Peter was wondering why the people where so amazed at the power of God that was revealed through them in healing the man by the gate of the temple that was called Beautiful (Acts3:12). He said it was not by their holiness or power that they did the miracle, but that God just glorified his Son through them by their simple having faith in Christ’s name (Acts3:13-16). The basic truth is we should not be surprised when miracles don’t happen, rather we should be surprised when they don’t happen. As a witness it is normal and natural for your life to be filled with evidence and proof. You are a witness but you need to grow in Christ and keep exercising your faith. Let’s take a look at Acts5:42- ” And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ”.
The gospel we have is not to be preached when we get to heaven. The truth we know is not to be taught in Heaven. The power of God to heal all manner of diseases is not meant for healing people in Heaven; it is for here and now! As you use what you have, you get more! Aya!!(Luke19:17). Do not neglect the gift of God that is in you(1Tim4:14). Do not be like the wicked and slothful servant who did not make use of the ability his master gave him, to do the master’s will(Matt25:26). Do not keep silent about Jesus!!! Preach, Teach, Heal!!!!!! You are an ambassador of Christ. An ambassador is a representative I.e You are a representative of Christ!!!! Glory!!!! You are a minister of reconciliation(2Cor5:18-20). Now, in 1Cor1:21 we understand that preaching is a way God has chosen to save the world from d devil. Even if it looks foolish, we must just keep preaching, teaching and healing in the Name of Jesus. 1Cor1:21 in Contemporary English Version says: ” God was wise and decided not to let the people of this world use their wisdom to learn about him. Instead, God chose to save only those who believe the foolish message we preach”.
People will not be saved if they do not hear the Gospel and receive God’s touch. Rom10:14-15 says: ” How then shall they call upon him in whom they have believed not? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?” V15 says: ” And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”. We can see in the above scripture that it is a necessity to preach the gospel, we must preach the gospel! It would be selfish of us not to preach the gospel whereas somebody preached to us, imagine if the person or people that ministered to you and you where convicted by the Holy Ghost keep silent, I bet u won’t be where u are today. Now in V15 we can see the blessings of preaching d gospel, good tidings are the person’s reward. Let’s take a look at 1Cor9:16 – “For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!”. We can see here clearly the need to preach the gospel! Woe be to every child of God if ye preach not the gospel! I pray the grace and enablement to preach will be bestowed upon you IJN!!! We must preach the good news! We are the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Matt5:13-14). We have the solution. We have Christ. We have the gospel; we have God’s power in us. Halleluyah!!!!!
Don’t feel that the gospel will not make sense or will not make any difference in the lives of the people you minister to. May I remind you that while you do the talking the spirit does the convicting, so just keep do the talking and let your faith be active that they will be converted and leave the remaining to the Holy Ghost! If the souls are not converted does not mean the Holy Ghost is not present or any other discouragement the devil may present, it only means the souls are not ready yet, if such cases happen, just move on to the next person and God will bless you. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. Rom1:16 says; “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jews first, and also to the Greek”. Do not be ashamed of it. Do not feel that God’s power will not flow through your hands. These signs shall follow them that believe(GREAT COMMISSION) Mark16:17-18. I therefore charge you to go into the world and preach, teach and heal them in the Name of Jesus Christ. You are declared a witness of God in action and word, so therefore commit to the preaching the gospel with every action and word and God will bless you richly in Jesus Name.
Beloved, I believe I have been able to impart into you another session of teaching that has had so much impact on my life and has driven me crazy for God. I pray as you have read and continuing reading the Spirit of God will minister more to you as the bible says that the Spirit entered me as spake unto me.
As I wrap up this teaching, note that there are more blessings and lots more that come with soul winning, will speak on the rewards and lots more in part 3. I am sure that this two(2) teachings has had enormous impact in your life, therefore I enjoin you not to miss the third(3) segment of this gracious teaching! Don’t miss it for anything. EVANGELISM(ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST) PT.1

Image

Acts 1:8- “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth”. We can see here that Jesus was admonishing his disciples(Apostles, Friends, Close pals) that when He goes and the Holy Ghost comes upon them, They shall receive power! What then is Power? According to The New Webster’s Dictionary of the English Language, Power can also be defined as strength, ability, courage, controlling influence and also authority. Note that: It is after they have received this Impartation with the Help of the Holy Ghost that they can now be witnesses of Jesus to all over the world. According to the same dictionary, witness can also mean testifier, public affirmation of the truth. When we receive the Holy Ghost, we get power, might, strength, efficiency and we begin to witness to all people and even to the uttermost part of the earth. It is the receiving of the Holy Ghost that gives us boldness to preach the gospel. What then is the ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF THE HOLY GHOST? In Acts 2:2-13, we can see how the Holy Ghost came like a rushing mighty wind and like cloven tongues of fire and as they where filled with the Holy Ghost they began to speak in Tongues. Vs 14 explains how peter stood up to explain to whose who didn’t understand what was going on. Now, what happened here was the confirmation of what Jesus said in Acts1:8a, when Jesus said they will receive power which also signifies strength, courage, control, controlling influence. Peter had received this things as soon as the Holy Ghost came upon him. Also, it is essential to note that it was this same peter that denied Jesus three(3) times (matt 26:69-75), so what gave him the courage to speak of this same Jesus after Jesus had ascended to heaven? It was the Power of the Holy Ghost! The courage, enthusiasm to preach the gospel. As soon as the Holy Ghost comes upon you, your past irrelevant in d sight of God. Even paul in Rom1:16 says ” For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jews first, and also to the Greek”. So from here also, we can also see that since the Holy Ghost came, his primary assignment is to assist us in soul winning as we expect the second coming of the Lord. That was d courage that peter and the other apostles and from then on even as I am writing this under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost! Even in Mark16:15 which is popularly known as “THE GREAT COMMISSION”, it speaks about the primary objectives about soul winning.

The Holy Ghost came upon d apostles and so what was d outcome? In Acts2:41, we understand that the same day the Holy Ghost came upon them, the church recorded 3000 souls saved that day. Now moving on to, Acts3:7, The lame man at d beautiful gate, was healed by God through his vessels(peter and john). Also, Acts4:4, the church recorded another 5000 souls saved for the kingdom. So we can see that there was a recording of 8000 souls saved and 1 person healed. May I remind you that as soon as the Holy Ghost came upon them the actualization of 1cor2:4 which says”And my speech was not the enticing words of man’s wisdom but in demonstration of the Spirit and power” became real upon their lives. They began to speak from their spirit which in indwelled in the Holy Spirit. One of the main essence of the Holy Spirit is to raise God a family. I would to remind you that there is no miracle performed in the era of Jesus, or the Holy Ghost era(even up till now) that was not performed in the old testament, far back as raising the dead; we can use d examples of two od the greatest prophets ever:

1) Elijah-1kings17:17-24(son of the widow of Zarephath)

2) Elisha-2kings4:29-30(son of the shunammite woman)

Upon all of these, God didn’t have a family, he was in need of a family, where things can be shared, where there is love, affection, peace and harmony and a long lasting relationship unlike the way it was in the old testament! This is one of the main reasons why the Holy Ghost came!

Beloved, I believe I have been able to impart into you, a teaching that has had so much impact on my life and has driven me crazy for God. I pray as you have read and continuing reading the Spirit of God will minister more to you as the bible says that the Spirit entered me as spake unto me. THE BLOOD COVENANT PT.3

Centuries ago in Europe when a man and woman got married, they would take a knife and cut the skin around one of their fingers until blood was drawn. They then mingled their blood in a handshake. They finished the job by rubbing chemicals into their wounds that caused a scar to form. They then had a permanent ring around their finger. It was a sign to others they were married.

As the years went by, people stopped cutting themselves, and began wearing wedding rings on their fingers. But it’s a reminder of the days when blood covenants were made. The phrase in wedding vows which say, “till death do us part” is a reminder that the breaking of the blood covenant meant death for the person who broke their vows.

God’s First Covenant With Abraham
God made covenants with different people in the Bible. Abraham was a person God had a covenant with. Abraham was a very wealthy man but he lacked one thing. What was it? He didn’t have a son. He prayed, asking for one, and God promised him one.

In fact, God promised he would have so many children they would be impossible to count. He said there would be as many as the grains of sand on a beach, or stars in the sky.

God wanted Abraham to know He would not break His promise. Because it was a common practice in his day, Abraham knew how serious blood covenants were. No man had actually cut a covenant with God Himself before, but it was about to happen before his very eyes.

The Lord God told Abraham to take a cow, a female goat, a ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon and cut them in half, which of course meant the shedding of blood. He then laid the halves out on the ground.

That night, God appeared as a flame of fire, or a torch and walked up and down between the two halves of the animals. As He did it He made a covenant with Abraham concerning his future children.

Abraham knew once a blood covenant was made it could never be broken. Imagine what that meant to him as he watched God go through this process.

He knew if God ever broke His promise, it meant His death! That’s why Abraham was so confident. There was no question about it—someday he would have a son! God had to do it or die because they had cut a blood covenant with each other!

Abraham held the promise in his heart until he and his wife Sarah were much too old to have children. They waited over twenty-five years, and the day finally came when the promised son was born.

Isaac was the child of promise. Even little Isaac was a symbol, and type and shadow of Jesus; the long awaited Son of God would come. The point now is, God made a blood covenant and kept His promise.

God’s Covenant With Us
This all has very interesting meaning for us because God has made many promises to us in the Bible. We, too, have a blood covenant with God.

He didn’t shed the blood of animals like He did with Abraham. Instead, He shed the blood of His own dear son, Jesus. The shedding of Jesus’ blood on the cross was a blood covenant with you and I that can never be broken.

No matter how good covenants were in the past with the blood of bulls and goats, the Bible lets us know Jesus has made “a better covenant based on better promises” (Heb. 8:6). As with Abraham He can never break His promises with us because He signed the promise in blood!

Besides, “It’s impossible for God to lie,” (Heb. 6:18). With this covenant, our sins are not just covered over as in the case of the blood of bulls and goats. But through the blood of Jesus our sins are totally wiped out of the universe! They no longer exist.

The Israelites were expected to obey God’s laws even though their nature had not been changed. But since Jesus died and rose again, when we ask Him into our hearts, we are completely changed. God said, ” I will put my laws in their minds so they will understand them, and I will write them on their hearts so they will obey them. I will be their God, and they will be my people,” (Heb. 8:10 LB).

He takes our hard hearts of stone, and gives us a soft heart of flesh to serve Him. But think of all His other promises as well, promises about healing our bodies, meeting all of our needs, lifting us up when we are discouraged, never leaving or forsaking us, even if our mothers and fathers forsake us, He won’t.

There are over five hundred promises in the Bible for everything we could possibly need in life. Whatever belongs to our covenant partner belongs to us! God is obligated to share them all with us, because He made the promises and signed them in Jesus’ blood!

JESUS IS LORD!!!!!!!!

THE BLOOD COVENANT PT.2

… for the life of all flesh is its blood. (Leviticus 17:11)

In a world where few can be trusted and where friendships only endure as long as there is a perceived personal benefit mankind is always looking to make covenants. He seeks strong and secure relationships for himself and also for his family. He seeks committed friends who will be there for him when enemies rise up against him or when he falls into misfortune. This inner emptiness, this desire for a deep and meaningful connection to a life-giving companion goes back a long way.
In fact it goes back all the way to the relationship man had with God in the Garden of Eden. In those days before the fall of man Adam walked with God. It was in that relationship that Adam found his provision and his delight. After his fall from grace mankind has experienced a deep emptiness within. This inner “angst” is a sense of being alone and cut off from the flows of life.
Blood covenant was amongst the first and oldest of historical traditions.
To increase emotional weight on the covenant ritual blood has to flow to seal the covenant between two partners.

Blood Covenant In History

As we know from history, men were most often untrue to their word. Accordingly their covenants were just not trustworthy. Covenants were made and then broken based on personal benefit. If the other covenant partner felt grieved by this broken covenant he might try to force the issue in some way in order to maintain it. If not then the ensuing battle might see a bloody contest and the perpetrators life put in danger. But most of the time he escaped any punishment. Men went on making vows of fidelity without any intention of keeping them. When the covenant was broken the ones who had trusted them were left desolate. This state of affairs has caused untold grief and misery.

In the resulting insecurity mankind has sought ways out of this dilemma. He has looked for the ultimate covenant.
In the oldest cuneiform writings we find an example of this. The Gilgamesh Epos tells us the story of the two heroes Gilgamesh and Enkidu. This Sumerian tale dating between 2750 to 2500 BC contains a description of a blood brotherhood that is unforgettable. The two individuals became one single acting unity. Each one lived for the others sake. And so the death of one partner destroyed the meaning of life in the surviving member. There was unity in life till death. The personal advantage of such a deep connection is obvious. This total reliance and confidence in each other enabled these two “Half Gods” to overcome the seemingly invincible mountain spirit, Humbaba.
This story been told by gifted storytellers around the campfires since ancient times. It started to fill the minds of even the youngest listeners. They clearly saw the purpose and the benefit of entering into such a covenant. Here in covenant with a totally committed friend they could find strength, might, invincibility, and security.

In 1.Samuel 18:1-3 we see a similar brotherhood…Jonathan became one in spirit with David. Even though his father, Saul was at war with David Jonathan loved him as himself. The Bible doesn’t tell us that David and Jonathan sealed a blood covenant in any formal way. But it does describe in detail the love and selfless attitude that ruled their relationship. In the “Song of the Bow” we see David expressing the unspeakable mourning which overwhelmed him when Jonathan, his “other half”, died in the battle at Gilboa. (2 Samuel 1)

In spite of all these idealising stories and the attempts of mankind to see these dreams fulfilled we have to realize that all of these humanistic covenants have been and continue to be broken. If history tells us anything in all this then it must be this fact. Mankind here on this earth is not able to keep any lasting covenant with his fellow man. All the best plans and covenants of the noblest of men eventually fade away and come to nought.
Nevertheless the desire for such a lasting covenant is still there.
Deep inside of us we have a deep longing for a just and righteous society built with covenants of absolute reliability and trustworthiness.
This desire can’t be fulfilled here on earth – earth is earth – and true covenants must be made from a different material, due to our transience all we create, our covenants, too, will fade away.
The only covenant partner able to join with us to make an absolutely unbreakable covenant is God. He is beyond time, and space. His ways are far above the transient ways of this world. He is omniscient and all knowing. He is also omnipresent, (all-present), and omnipotent, (all-powerful).
HE is the “dream partner” of very human being.

The Blood Covenant Between GOD And Abraham

Abraham entered into covenant with El Shaddai, YHVH, the Almighty God, Creator of heaven and earth. This is described to us in Genesis 15:17-21. The word “covenant’ means “cutting”. This is how the covenant was “cut”.
God had told Abraham to prepare for a covenant agreement with Him. He was told to slaughter several animals. Following the common ritual of this time Abraham did this. He slaughtered the animals cut them that two halves of the animal would lie on the ground opposite each other. The two parties would then walk around those two halves in a figure of eight path through the blood. In that ritual they would pledge themselves to each other to the extent of all they had, – even to their very lives. In that covenant they would name all the blessings and benefits of the covenant. Then they would name the curses to be exacted should that covenant be violated. There in the bloody ground they would pledge themselves to each other and promise to uphold the covenant requirements come what may. It was a covenant unto death. It was a sombre moment. They affirmed in effect that,
“If either one of us violates this covenant then may that person be as this animal that was sacrificed and in whose blood we are now standing.”
This scripture shows this passing through when the fiery torch (representing God) appeared rushing to and fro between the slaughtered animals.
God is promising Abraham an eternal covenant, everlasting reliability and security but HE required an obvious seal of this covenant – the circumcision (Genesis 17:1-14).
This circumcision is an act done in faith. It is a “bloody” ritual too. Every male descendant of Abraham was required bear this covenant mark. In verse 13 God is repeating HIS promise confirming the eternal character of this covenant, but the following verse gives us the clear consequences if this covenant should ever be broken. It is the death of the perpetrator.
This point is very important. We shall refer to this later. But now let us take a closer look at the most holy covenant of all – the Blood covenant.

This was the covenant God made with Abraham – and this covenant is available till today!

God is the “dream partner” of very human being. Is it possible for a man, woman, or child to enter into a blood covenant with HIM?
If you would become one with HIM, then it would no longer be just “you”. It would not even be just “you” and ”HIM”.
Rather, it would also be “we” with HIM.
You would have sealed the ultimate covenant.

But this covenant has a price, it will cost you the utmost you can give. It will cost you your very life. You have been called to lay down your own life to receive HIS life. You have to die that HE will live in you.

Let us take a look at this covenant in detail.

The Eternal Blood Covenant

Every covenant sealed by man was always grounded in the agreement of two covenant parties. They pondered about the cost / benefit factor and vowed loyalty to each other for consensual benefit.

Whereas God chose a different way to show us HIS way to the ultimate covenant:

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
(John 15:13)

In this scripture Jesus says that HE gave the ultimate sign of HIS love as HE was slaughtered before a covenant partner was there.
This death of Jesus Christ isn’t just the atonement of our sins alone. It is the ultimate covenant, the most magnificent covenant ever been made available to man.

No other covenant has had such dramatic consequences. No other covenant has cost such a high price.

In Matthew 26, 26-29 we read the following words:

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.”
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s kingdom.

Jesus speaks here about “The blood of the covenant”. This is not just some other form of a covenant. Rather it is the most high covenant available. We are talking here about a blood covenant backed up by God himself! This covenant brings man into communion and unity with God. In this covenant we become partakers of God’s character.

That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:
(John 17:21-22)

Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is.
(1.John 3:2)

These scripture show us the mind-boggling dimensions of this new covenant. This covenant goes beyond the grasp of our human imagination.

But just as it was with Abraham this covenant has a condition we must fulfil. With Abraham it was the circumcision God was demanding from him and his descendants. The ultimate covenant, the New Covenant, has a condition too. Like circumcision it may involve blood, even the cutting off and death of our flesh-life. Our Apostle Paul speaks of this as a circumcision of the heart. (Rom.2:29) We are not speaking here about our physical death, although that does happen to God’s witnesses. No, this death is meant for our dreams, desires and the ruling, (or mis-ruling), of our life by our own fleshly desires. Everything that resists this total, overall surrender to God’s hand has to die. Jesus says:

For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
(Matthew 16, 25)

Paul is expressing it the following way:

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21)

Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection.
(Romans 6:3-5)

Jesus says:

In the same way, any of you who does not give up everything he has cannot be my disciple. (Luke 14:33)

Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain. He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.
(John 12:24-26)

The New Covenant has its price. And yes I realize that this price is hardly spoken about in today’s wealthy Christendom. Jesus is the One who saves and heals and performs miracles this is true. But today a watered-down version of Jesus is preached. He is portrayed as some sort of generous doting super-wealthy merchant who just stands there and hands out blessings free for the asking.
But the story is only half told. We are the agents of the Great King. The covenant conditions required to flow in God’s anointing are there. But they have been hidden from view. These conditions are deliberately withheld from most believers for reasons of keeping Christianity easy for half-committed people to enter in. Maintaining popularity and “customer satisfaction” is the thing. The main goal in the post-modern merchant church is to make the narrow way the broadway. This is done to keep up the numbers on church rolls
and raise the Christian television ratings.
In spite of this ignorance and our lack of good performance the covenant God has given us is still valid. But all the wonderful promises tied to this covenant cannot be activated if we do not meet the conditions.
God’s word gives us clear vision concerning the consequences we can to expect should we misrepresent Him:

Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord. But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep (have died).
(1. Corinthians 11:27-30)

Let us remember God’s covenant with Abraham. There God commanded that everyone trespassing against this covenant should be annihilated.
Our New Covenant through Jesus Christ has awful consequences as well for those who misrepresent him.
Similarly the Lord’s Supper is not just a church ritual. No, it is a holy covenant with our God. Death and sickness, unnecessary pain and sorrow, spiritual ineffectiveness and paralysis are the consequences for those who are not willing to fulfil our covenant part.
No amount of church showmanship or clever religious marketing can help us here.
The Lord’s Supper is a blood covenant ritual, a holy act. Only those who are willing to lay themselves on the altar and die to themselves should partake.
If we are unwilling to do this we should not be taking communion at all.

Right now many readers will think, “Nobody has ever told me this!”
Let us pause and be silent for a moment. Ask God for a revelation of HIS will deep inside of you. It is of crucial importance that we stop painting our own human pictures of God. We have to accept HIM as HE is.
The highest and most glorious promises have been given to us. But where can you find them in the western churches today? Where are the believers displaying the glory of the LORD? Why do we see spiritual sickness and death everywhere?

Brothers and sisters it is time to change the direction of our lives. It is time for us to flip the steering wheel and to turn around and go in a new direction. But for this we need a clear vision of where we are spiritually right now:

And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write,
“These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: “I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. Because you say, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’–and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked– I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him (covenant ritual – confirming the coveneant), and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”
(Revelation 3, 14-22)

God is waiting for you. He awaits your return to HIS covenant. He has fulfilled HIS part 2000 years ago. HIS covenant stands unshakable. Now HE is calling you. Everyone is called to experience the benefits and riches of this covenant. And everyone who is willing to pay the price will enter into this glorious destiny. That price is the death of our own self life, our own fleshly desires, (the id), and our own ego.

In Psalm 50 verse 5 God speaks the following words:

Gather My saints together to Me, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.

There is a place where we can meet our covenant partner. There is a place where He is waiting for you. It is at the altar of sacrifice. There you will meet HIM. At this place where you stop being merely a life unto yourself. Where your own life will be consumed by the fire of dedication and selfless love you will find your life again. You will find it in HIM!

Become a overcomer! The glory of God is awaiting you!

Amen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE BLOOD COVENANT

What do we mean by a Blood Covenant? This term, used widely in our world and found in every culture that has ever been discovered, has lost most of its significance in today’s society, especially here in America.

Even though the concept is found in every society of mankind from the earliest of times to the present, we do not understand it’s meaning as this most ancient of all rites has come down to us throughout history. What the Blood Covenant meant to the earliest of peoples, it still means today. The force it carried in antiquity is the same today as it was in ancient times. But, because we in America (and other modern countries as well) do not understand the meaning behind the blood covenant, we have failed to understand its true meaning to us today. Christians, particularly, are not able to understand their rights and obligations under a Blood Covenant.

The importance of understanding the Blood Covenant is found in the fact that the basis of Christianity is rooted in a Blood Covenant. The Blood Covenant between God and Abraham, the foundation for the relationship of God to His chosen people, appears in the New Testament as a New Covenant, this time between God and those who choose to serve Him in Christ. In the Old Testament, the people were the chosen of God, those whom He had chosen to represent Him to the world. In the New Testament the covenant people are the ones who choose God, who represent Christ to a dying world. This New Covenant is between God and Jesus, whereas the Old Covenant was between God and Abraham. In each case, the meaning of the Blood Covenant remains constant. What it meant to David in the Old Testament it means to us in the New Testament.

So, what is the basic meaning behind this Blood Covenant? Simply put it means that two covenant individuals share such a close relationship with each other that all they have or possess in this life is available to each upon demand. For example say that Joe and Sam have entered into a Blood Covenant with each other. What belongs to Joe also belongs to Sam and what belongs to Sam also belongs to Joe. Say Joe has a short payday, but has a pressing debt due that he cannot pay. He simply goes to Sam and says, “Sam, give me your checkbook, I’m in dire need of $500”. Sam is obligated, by the Blood Covenant between them, to hand his checkbook to Joe so that Joe can meet his debt obligation. This sharing of the personal properties of both Joe and Sam extend to everything either possesses, including wives. For a Blood Covenant individual to refuse to meet the needs of his covenant partner means that he broke the blood covenant between them and this means that he will die a most horrible death as well as the rest of his family, usually at the hand of the individual he so severely mistreated. You can understand then, the motive that causes these two blood covenant individuals to share all they possess with each other whenever called upon. To refuse was a certain death sentence as well as probable death to his family. Perhaps now the times in the Old Testament where God seemed to wipe out His chosen can be better understood. He always said, before the drastic action took place, that they had broken the Covenant with Him. But also God always left a remnant behind so He could reestablish His Covenant with them.

Just how ancient is the Blood Covenant? In the book “The Blood Covenant”, Dr. H. Clay Trumbull states “This fact [the commonality of the rite in all cultures] in itself would seem to point to a common origin of its various manifestations, in the early Oriental home of the now scattered peoples of the world” (page 57). So what would be the early Oriental home that Dr. Trumbull talks of? What about the Garden of Eden? In Genesis 3:21, it says, “Unto Adam also and to His wife did the Lord God make coats of skin, and clothed them.” Eve was the first woman to wear a fur coat and that in the heat of the Mid-East as she was evicted from her birth home! But what does this have to do with the Blood Covenant of the Bible?

Adam, as well as Eve, had sinned in the sight of God. He could not look on that sin which meant that He would have to forsake His new creation, mankind. God was unwilling to turn His back on His creation, so He covered their sin with blood. Now, He would not have to look at their sin, for all He would see was the blood that covered this sin. This is the basis for all the Old Testament sacrifices of blood, which pointed to the Ultimate sacrifice, the shedding of the innocent blood of the Lamb of God. But where in this chapter of Genesis does it mention the shedding of blood to cover their sin? Well, you would have to kill the beast that surrendered their skin before you skinned them, both acts resulting in the shedding of innocent blood. But how do you get to the point that this blood was used by God to cover the sins of Adam and Eve? Go to the next chapter in Genesis, Chapter 4 and you immediately find Cain and Abel making an offering to God. He was pleased with Abel’s offering; the first born of his flock for it was an offering that involved the shedding of blood, the covering for his sins. However, God did not accept Cain’s offering, for no shedding of blood was performed to cover Cain’s sin.

So how did Cain and Abel learn about the shedding of blood to cover their sins? Their parents told them, probably recounting how their mother came into possession of her prized fur coat that no one dared touch or play with. Now we have, in the Genesis account, the establishment of the fact that the shedding of innocent blood would cover over the sins of the people so that God could continue to interact with His Creation. From this concept sprang the genesis for the Blood Covenant where God cut the covenant with Abraham. Since God is a spirit and not flesh and blood, there has to be a substitutionary contributor to provide the blood necessary for the Blood Covenant. God’s contributors were a 3-year-old heifer, a 3-year-old female goat, a 3-year-old ram, a turtledove and a young pigeon (Genesis 15:9). Abraham’s blood contribution was to be his foreskin, which bleeds profusely when it is cut, especially in an adult male. Genesis 17:11 and following gives the particulars of Abraham’s contribution to the Blood Covenant cut between him and God Almighty. This was to be an everlasting covenant between man, represented by Abraham, and God, a never-ending compact between two covenant partners for all time (Genesis 17:7).

If this were to be an everlasting covenant between God and Man, what role would Jesus play in the New Covenant of the New Testament? Why was it necessary for Him to shed His blood on the cross, since an everlasting covenant was established between God and Abraham? The problem was that the weak link in the Old Covenant was man, who continually broke the covenant between him and God, sometimes unintentionally, sometimes deliberately and with malice. Study the lives of the Old Testament Prophets, especially Isaiah and Ezekiel to gain a better understanding of the treachery that the false prophets of Israel put on God’s people. However, if the people wanted to actually follow God, they could, thus the blame for Israel’s downfall was shared by all, prophet and people alike. It was obvious that man, try as he might, was a poor choice for a Blood Covenant partner, since he repeatedly violated the Covenant and repeatedly paid the price for his folly. A man had to be found who would not repeatedly break the Covenant by disobedience to his Covenant partner, Almighty God. And right here is where Jesus fits in, as He was both Son of God and Son of Man. By His very nature, He would not disobey or dishonor His Covenant partner, God, the Father. Thus, the New Blood Covenant, based on the saving work of Jesus replaced a covenant that was based on Abraham, which was continually violated by man. Thus the New Covenant, based on Jesus, became a better Blood Covenant than the Old Covenant, which was based on Abraham’s relation to God.

In the Abrahamic Blood Covenant, God made the covenant only with Abraham, no one else. Others entered into the Covenant between God and Abraham through the rite of circumcision. In Genesis 17:7-14, God outlines how others will enter into the Blood Covenant cut between Him and His friend, Abraham. God did not cut a personal Blood Covenant with every Hebrew male, He provided for an entrance into the Blood Covenant He had with Abraham through the rite of circumcision, the very vehicle Abraham used to provide his blood for his Blood Covenant with Almighty God. Later, in the New Testament, Paul writes about the Circumcision of the Heart, where the old nature is thrown away and the new nature from God is placed within the new believer in Jesus. Thus the New Blood Covenant, based on the covenant relationship between God, the Father and Jesus, the Son of Man is patterned after the original Abrahamic Covenant. The covenant now is indeed everlasting, for it cannot be broken as it was in ancient times. The New Blood Covenant is now between God, the Father and His Son, representing man. Those who enter into this relationship with God the Father and Jesus His Son, do so by the rite of circumcision, the circumcision of the heart. As Paul explained it to the Christians in Rome “For he is not a Jew which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision which is outward in the flesh: but he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men but of God.” (Romans 2:28-29, KJV). Paul, in writing to the Colossians, elaborated further “And ye are complete in Him which is the head of all principality and power; in whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ” (Colossians 2:10-11, KJV).

When a person accepts Christ as their Lord and Savior, there is a lot going on in the spiritual realm that we generally are unaware of when it is happening. Not even the person who is receiving all this spiritual activity knows what is happening, they just know they somehow feel “different”, “better”, “at peace” or some other way describes that they aren’t the same as they were moments before. Not only are they accepting Jesus as their Savior and thereby have their entire sin debt, from that moment on, wiped out but they are also cut into the New Blood Covenant between God, the Father and Jesus, His Son representing mankind. This cutting into the Blood covenant is done by Jesus, man’s representative in the Blood Covenant and is performed in the heart, not on the foreskin. Thus all who come to Jesus, male and female, have equal access to the terms of the Blood Covenant.

What are the terms of this Blood Covenant we are now in? Remember, in a blood covenant relationship everything you have or possess is freely available to your covenant partner. Likewise everything he has or possesses is now available to you, you only need to ask and it is yours. If we treated our relationship with our Heavenly Father as a relationship within a Blood Covenant that means anything we need that He has is ours for the asking! Conversely anything He asks of us we are covenant bound to provide Him. You say He wants you to be a teacher or a writer? Then under the Blood Covenant all you can say is “Here’s your teacher or writer, Lord”. So you feel that He wants you preaching the Gospel and you get butterflies when you stand in front of two people and they are your family members? Your response, under the Blood Covenant, is the response of Samuel when he answered God’s call on his life. “Speak, for thy servant heareth” (1 Samuel 3:10, KJV). If we only understood the obligations we have in our Blood Covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father, He would not have to use people in jobs He never designed them for and we would be much happier in our lives that is centered in God’s will.

Currently, I am in need of a sum of money to finish a  project I’ve started at God’s behest. So, what do I do? Do I seek another part-time job for additional income, borrow the amount and put my family and myself in deeper debt? Or do I turn to my Blood Covenant Partner and say, “I have need of this amount of money to finish that book project you gave me. So, where’s your checkbook?”. If this sounds rather cheeky, view it in the light of Philippians 4:19, “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (KJV). Paul was able to write this because God understands the relationship found in a Blood Covenant. That’s why He cut one first with Abraham and then improved on it with Jesus. If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior, you are in a Blood Covenant relationship with God Almighty. Why not live like it? What He has promised you He will honor, so take Him at His word and start living a victorious life! And don’t forget the requests of your Blood Covenant partner. You are bound, by the Blood Covenant, to provide Him with anything He asks of you, even if it means your life.
